Where we are today
Pawfect Match is in early access. Right now the site shows example dog profiles, and we only collect the information you choose to send us through our early-access and "List your dog" forms. We don't take payments or verify identities yet. When we do, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent first.
What we collect
- Early-access sign-ups: your first name, email address, city or area, the breed of your dog, what you're looking for, and which example profile you were viewing.
- Founding-owner listings: your name, email, your dog's name, breed, sex, size, age, your town or city, health testing details, a description, and an optional photo.
- Basic technical data: our hosting provider automatically logs things like IP address, browser type, and pages requested, to keep the site secure and working.
We don't ask for your street address, and we never show your exact location on the site.
How we use it
- To email you when Pawfect Match launches in your area, and about your listing.
- To review and prepare your dog's profile before it goes live. We'll confirm with you before publishing anything.
- To decide which cities to launch in first.
- To protect the site from spam and abuse.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with other owners without your agreement.
Services that process data for us
- Netlify hosts the website and receives form submissions.
- Google Fonts and cdnjs deliver fonts and code libraries to your browser.
- OpenStreetMap provides map tiles on the Pup Planet page.
- Dog CEO (dog.ceo) supplies the example dog photos.
These providers may process data, such as your IP address, outside Canada, including in the United States.
Cookies
We don't currently use advertising or tracking cookies. If we add analytics or other cookies, we'll update this page and, where required, ask for your consent.
How long we keep it
We keep early-access and listing information until you ask us to delete it, or for up to 24 months after launch if you never activate an account, whichever comes first.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you, or unsubscribe from emails, at any time by emailing hello@pawfectmatch.store. Depending on where you live, laws such as Canada's PIPEDA, the EU and UK GDPR, or US state privacy laws like the CCPA may give you additional rights. We'll respond within 30 days.
Children
Pawfect Match is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If we make important changes, we'll update the date at the top and let early-access members know by email.
